Cedar River at Shanty Creek Resorts in Northern Michigan

Cedar River is one of four golf courses at Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire, Michigan.

The course was built by Tom Weiskopf and opened in 1999 and plays through rolling, wooded hills. It's one of the most scenic golf courses in northern Michigan with plenty of elevated tees and ponds.

There are back-to-back par 5s on the 9th and 10th. The par-3 14th is a devilish short par 3, playing downhill to a small green heavily guarded by sand, long grass and a creek behind the green.

Shanty Creek Resorts has three villages and four courses, all under new ownership and management as of last year. Since then they've put millions of dollars into restoration of the courses and their facilities, including Cedar River.
