Designed by Rupert Smith, make no mistake, this is a challenging course golf, set near the National Huron Forest. Many holes are intimidating with elevated greens and large rolling hills. Many fairways entertain blind shots to reach greens which are well maintained, but often have gravity defying slopes. Three holes on the front nine require elongated second shots across intimidating deep river ravines. The back nine holes are very picturesque, but surrounded by attractive woods, shrubs and trees which can gobble errant golf balls. High handicapped players may be discouraged by playing Eagle Ridge. Interesting that the area is surrounded by low lying, flat farm lands, but the original owners found a unique rolling terrain which held promise to house a beautiful a golf course. Distance away from well populated towns is its only handicap which makes it easier to make reservations. Low handicapped players will be challenged.

We had a total of nine in our group, and everyone had a great time. the staff was friendly and helpful.
The course was cleared of leaves, and beautiful with the fall colors. We saw deer. I am a new golfer so I may not have a lot to compare to, but I would not hesitate to golf there again.

Lance is spot on. This course is not worth the $25 they charge. I also ordered 1 hot dog and it took about 15 minutes and the place was empty. Seriously how can you take that long to prepare a hot dog? Eagle Ridge needs to step up their game on the level of customer service. The greens need A LOT of work as well. Not a bunker to be found either.

Not only was this the most poorly maintained golf course I ever played, it was the worst service I have ever received at any type of establishment period. The tee boxes we're lower than the fairway on a few different holes and you couldn't see your drive. The greens look like the rough on many of the holes. The service is sloooooowwwwww at the pro shop and bar/restraunt. 15 minutes to check in and 20 minutes for a hotdog. To top it off, as we returned the carts, the pro shop guy asked us to clean out our carts and park them at a different location. That was a first for me. Never going back, I would rather drive an hour.

My lady (Carol) and I have played this course at least once a week since it re-opened. Jerome, has stressed his desire to regain local golfers, and has kept his word to keep prices affordable for locals. Have not had the pleasure of meeting Barb yet. The entire staff has been very polite and courteous. This course is very long, up hill and down hill. Carol walks and being handicapped, I ride. We enjoy being able to take a cooller with us, since we don't drink alcohol on the course. We always make an afternoon of our trip. Have seen deer, turtles.eagles, etc. Hope we can afford a membership next year. LOVE IT.

My husband Jerome and I are the new owners of Eagle Ridge Golf Club. We re-opened the course in July 2011. Rates for the 2011 season are just $15 for 18 holes w/cart. The Caddy Shack Restaurant is now open onsite.
    Great food.
