My wife and I love this “Up North” golf course. Staff is always friendly and course always in great shape. Sometimes slow play, but that happens on public courses and players of all caliber golfing there. Highly recommend this golf course to players of all skill levels!

beautiful course but the layout leaves a lot to be desired.
Fairways slope toward the rough and are crowned, so hard to stay in the fairway even on a good shot. I hit a lot of fairways and ended up in the rough. Not a good design.

Great course that is ultimately ruined by lack of competent starters and rangers. In fact there are no rangers but there are about 5 starters that sit around in the trees adjacent to the putting green while you are out there waiting ON EVERY SHOT. Ive played this course several times, more than 10, and Ive never finished in less than 5.5 hours. I've let management know too but nothing ever changes. If you're paying $85 to play a round of golf the least they can do is ensure pace of play is correct.

if you like slow play this is the course for you almost 6 hrs for 18. tee off was 30 minutes late. tee boxes were torn up, greens full of ball marks , bunkers full of big rocks blind shots on most of holes hard to drive up to see if you could tee off. 5 other courses in that area better priced and lot better shape. NOT A UP NORTH STYLE COURES

We have been coming here from Canada now two or three times a year for several years, and as always cannot wait for our next trip here. Reception is always great maybe except in the pro shop where the staff is a bit cold, just not very friendly. The rest of the staff however are second to none including the restrauant, where they are just awesome. We now plan our 27 with a lunch break just to experience what the chef has on the go, best food anywhere.
The course as usual in our opinion is second to none, super fast greens, but receptive, fairways like carpet. Our only dissappointment would be the sand traps, while they are improving each year some still have a lot of stones. Finally birdied 18, after getting on the par 5 in two, these greens are so difficult. High handicaps may want to avoid this track, as it is a very demanding golf course, but you WILL enjoy the scenery and you will find lots of pro v's, lol.
Can't wait for our next trip, next month for sure.

This golf course was absolutely amazing. The course is very well maintained, the nature is beautiful, the wildlife is great. The course was difficult for me, but everything about the course made the experience perfect. By far my favorite course ever played.

I have played many courses over my years of golf and Shepards Hollow ranks in my top 5 favorite golf courses of all time. It has 27 challenging holes and a beatiful layout. It is truly a gem to play.Clubhouse and other facilities are all first class.I have introduced all my friends to the course and will continue to treat myself by making the 1 hour long trip to play Shepards Hollow.

Without a doubt one of the nicest tracks I have ever played. Reception upon arrival was terrific as the curtious young lady unloaded our clubs right into the golf cart.
Very nice driving range for warmup. Fastest greens I have putted on. 40 putts, and I'm usually around 29-30 ouch. Layout was terrific as each hole is post card material. Can't wait to return.
Our group's only complaint would be the sand traps were sub par for a course of this caliber. Too many small rocks which to damage my nice AP2 blades, not a fan of that.
    Price reasonable.
