St. Ives Golf Club has received a five-star rating from Golf Digest -- and with good reason. The Jerry Matthews design, which opened in 1995, offers great course conditions amid a beautiful backdrop. Elevation changes that range from 40-80 feet offer up great views of the surrounding area. Water comes into play on 11 of the 18 holes. Several holes are worthy of mention. The par-4, 410-yard fourth hole has a tricky, undulating green. St. Ives Golf Club's final three holes -- the par-3 16th (where you have to carry a lake that almost surrounds the green), the par-5 17th (with a fairway that wraps around the lake) and the par-4 18th (with an upward climb) -- are among the best stretch of finishing holes you'll find in the state.

- awesome course, great elevation and layout. you definatly get some very unique holes...#1 lets you know right away what your in for! we played our round in pouring rain and loved every min of it.I have been fortunate to have played this course many times. I currently live in San Diego, which has no shortage of great golf courses, but, HANDS DOWN, ST Ives is my favorite track!
This is a fabulous course no matter what your skill level. It is always in great shape and the greens are the best I have seen.
The best feature of all is the staff. Friendly, courteous and hard-working -- they make a great course unforgetable.
If I had to play one course for the rest of my days, it would be ST Ives.course is awesome!!! dont know what the last guy is talking about. Must Play. absolutely beautiful!!!
