Yarrow Golf Course

]ace of play was the worse! foursomes in front of us were foul mouthed, loud, drunk , playing loud music and not what you would expect on this course or allowed? Group behind us were peeing on the tee box as well as drunk.

Not sure we will play again, although we hear the course is closing soon .

Great experience with an outstanding golf course! Condition was top notch and the course layout is challenging but fon. Views are spectacular and don't miss a cold one on the beautiful deck over looking the 18th!

I played this course as the warm-up to our group's yearly outing in Battle Creek. We had 28 guys play on warm-up and then played 36 holes with the full 40 man outing the next day. I heard nothing but rave reviews from all who played. The sad news is that we found out it will be our only time to enjoy this course as it will be closed at the end of the year and turned into a rehab center. If there are any wealthy Michiganders out there who are interested in investing in a strong course with a good following, they should look into this opportunity!

The course was in wonderful condition, each hole had its own character and differed from each before! The only down part to this course was the slow pace of play, and the staff. The staff was very impolite and pushy, they were also very ocd about pairing people together. Once I got out of the check in process it was wonderful and worth it!

Thought I would play at Yarrow one last time before it ceases to be a golf course next year. It was pretty obvious they had cut back on things from previous times of being there. The bunkers we in very bad shape and greens were just decent. It is usually in fantastic shape all around. But for the GolfNow value it is still quite a good deal.
It was just a bummer as a two-some to have to play behind a 5some with no ranger out there to speed things up. We jumped ahead and skipped two holes just to play in under 4 hours.
Still recommend this course for the price but bummer it isn't what it once was.

Course was in great shape wish people would repair divots on the green though!

This is a great track! Well worth the drive if you live a ways away. I drive 45 minutes to play it. Found a great deal on Golfnow for $18 w/cart.

If you havent played it do so. You wont be disapointed.

Very senic and a nice layout. I hear it is going to close because of lack of play. The green are tough with a lot of different levels but rolled well. I would have to rank the Hamburger I had was in the top 5 ever.

Nice course with hills, water and great turf. Plenty of landing area for drives. Greens big and plenty of break, but not too much - good areas for pin placement.

Golf course is a gem and definitely recommend playing before it closes permanently (so "they" say) at the end of this season.

Excellent course, awesome conditions. Fast greens make for a challenging day! Even the sand traps were extraordinary.

Great track! Don't sell the golf course. Would be sad to see such a great golf course close.

The course has large greens with many elevation changes throughout the holes. Beautiful scenery and enough tee boxes for any level of player. Three very slow groups went off ahead of us, round took 4.5 hours but could have been accomplished in around 3.5. I will play here again!

Everything was great. The weather, course, and movement of play. I thought because of low price I payed, that the course would be booked heavy, and the play would be slow. I was wrong!

Course was in very nice shape especially after nasty weather the previous night! Great value and beautiful course!

I played 9 holes on Father's Day in the late afternoon.
Staff as always were friendly and helpful.
I guess i was not the only one playing that time of day as there was quite a backlog at the opening tee.
Course was in good condition as it always seems to be. The drink cart was offered regularly which certainly helps with 85% humidity. Overall i love this course.....for my ability its fair challenge

I played 18 in the morning, and played here in the afternoon. From the drive into Yarrow to park, and walking in to pay, the staff were all smiles and friendly to me. I Liked the fact that not having GPS on the carts they did have hole by hole Yardages on the score card here, Like a yardage book the expensive courses try and sell you, it was free here, big plus. Driving down to the first tee and coming to it, you see this course is senic, and narrow, and has many elevation changes coming. Again I tested the tips and Black tee's here. And found it tuff but fare to the guys like me that love the Length. Huge difference from tips to white tee's here. I couold of shot par of few over from the whites here no problem. Lots of water here, and marsh lands. Great mix of bunkers, and dog legs, and the greens here where in mint and tops shape, next to zero Divots on the greens. I thought the rough was I bit high but again they have head tons of train, so I won't say its the courses fault. I give this course 2 thumbs up for sure. And lets just say, Every hole is a challenge in it's self. A lot of forced carries from the tip here from the tee's. Oh the greens speed were very good as well. Now the bad news we encountered here. Pace of play was extremely horrible. 5 ad 1/2 Hours to play this course. A round should take 4 at most if golfers are keeping pace. We waited from hole 3 to 18 for a long time around 10n to 15 minutes just to tee off. and that got me frustrated. was told there was a best ball tournament going on here. I have played many best ball tournaments and they go fast not at a snails pace. The course is a great course. and the 18th finishing hole has to rank up as one of my top 5 I have ever played in the country, best in Michigan so far for me. It was to long a day here. But in the end I am happy and glad I put this on my list of courses to play in Michigan this season.

I use to love Yarrow. But now, they let the greens get away from them a bit. Super slow, bumpy greens. The staff don't like people, but book tee times every 2 minutes because it makes them another buck. No beverage cart on an 80° day was also a bummer. But the course is still beautiful, spectacular ending 5 holes. I'd say golf here, but don't pay more then $40. Could be a $80 course if run right.

Loved he course, the changes in elevation and subtle curves of the fairways combine with undulations to produce all sorts of stances and shots. If you variety and challenges, you need to play here for a great experience. Forget your handicap, you will score higher. From multi-level greens and thick rough, this course will make for a fun and possibly challenging round of golf. Enjoy the scenery and lush vegetation along the course with wildlife visible as well. Have fun and hit it straight.
