The threat is wet at Tullymore Golf Club in Stanwood
Since opening in 2001, Tullymore Golf Club at the St. Ives Resort in Stanwood has quickly emerged as one of the best public golf courses in Michigan.
The resort, also home to St. Ives Golf Club, is located about an hour north of Grand Rapids on the northwest side of the state and is a gateway resort to the rest of northern Michigan's golf courses.
Tullymore is architect Jim Engh's first golf course design in the state and features his signature skinny knuckle bunkers on many holes. The course sits on over 800 acres of wetlands, and water is always a threat here, from the par-5 first hole to the finishing par 5. In fact, there are five par 3s and five par 5s at Tullymore, which help add to the course's outstanding hole variety, complete with long and short par 4s.
