Well maintained Classic Golf Course
First time playing this course and really enjoyed it. If you are looking for a relaxing round of golf on a well maintained course, that is what you get here. Not the most difficult course, but the rolling hills and mature trees made for a pleasant golf experience. I found the staff friendly as well.
For the price i expected more
For the price i expected more from the course. Course layout is very on top of each other, back 9 was pretty dull and no real signature holes. Place is pretty flat, not too many challenges or hazards. For that level of course, you can find 4-5 other courses in the area for a cheaper price. No driving range, solid putting and chipping green but is directly next to tee box 1 and tee box 3. Clubhouse was fine, but the money is spent on the golf which i don't think was worth it in the end. I would save the money and play a few other courses around the area before playing this course.
Not good at all!
Well first off let me start by saying, the staff sucks! There use to be a friendly girl in the bar that was always so sweet to my wife and I and she's gone apparently! Not happy with course conditions! Huge backup on greens!!!! Would never play again! Will tell friends/family to play other places!!!
Decent course
Course is fun and well kept. Staff is extremely friendly.
The greens are the best I've seen in Michigan. Fast, and true. Extremely green with no flaws. Very impressive.
My only complaint in my opinion is the course layout wasn't as great as some others around the area (moose ridge, etc.). More of a small town style course but immaculate.
I will be back
top drawer
This well-managed, well-maintained facility sports fast greens with subtle undulations. The wind the day we played made some already long par 4's into 5's. Back to back opening par 5's is a little unusual, but the course is fun to play.
Really Impressed
My foursome was so impressed with Giant Oak. The clubhouse was friendly, the greens and fairways were very so and well-maintained, and the layout was a lot of fun. You will not be disappointed!
golf
Ranger was a little rude . Some older guys golfing the course sat and hung out on tee box for no reason. There was no one in front of them just straight rude.
Always a pleasure
Giant Oak is a family run course that always makes you feel welcomed. Despite weather conditions the course is always impeccable. Challenge and fun await you no matter what your skill level. A great value for our area.
Good layout and great pace of play
The layout is more challenging than it appears at first glance. Paired up with a twosome and pace was great. $2 deposit for cart rental. Greens look in rough shape but roll true and able to make long putts. The bunkers are extremely deep and should be avoided!!
Stuffy Pro Shop
This course is an awsome course. I really enjoyed playing. We arrived 35 minutes early and they told us since we signed up on golfnow.com that we had to wait until 2 others showed up so they could pair us up. no one teed off before we were finally allowed to play but they put two twosomes out right behind us. Made no sense to me. It was like a punishment for using golfnow.com. I would totally understand if there were other tee times before us but there was not and the course was empty in front of us.
Greens of slendor!!!
1st time playing this course. Interesting holes, some easy, some extremely challenging..#3-#8#9. Greens were some of the best if not "the best" I have played this year! And golfnow "hot deal" at 18 bucks was a steal!! Will be back for sure.
Great Day
Giant Oak is a family owned and operated course . From the moment you check in you are treated that way. The course is always well maintained, punctuated with water coolers, friendly beverage cart girls, and beautiful greens.
Decent, Easy Course
Giant Oak isn't the hardest golf course. Fairly straight and open. Par 5s aren't very long and can be reachable in 2, par 4s are straightforward, and the par 3s can keep you on your toes. There are some hazards that can come into play. Overall, it's a good course to play to work on your game without making you frustrated.
Great shape
The course was in great shap right now. Greens were quick despite all the recent rain. Course is longer than I had remembered it. Nice little test.
Giant Oaks Golf Course
Beautiful course in great shape. Friendly staff. The course challenges your long game with par 5 holes right away.
Amazing
Very impressive conditions. Weather has been dry and hot, yet the course was pristine.
Great Value
Pristine country club conditions, soft, true greens. Rough was consistent and fair. Pin locations challenging but accessible.
Great value for orice
Greens were really fast, fairways in great shape. Rough cut perfectly not too long not too short. Course was watered too keep conditions perfect.
