Leelanau Club is one of my favorite courses in an area loaded with great courses. Built on an old cherry farm, overall this is one of the most beautiful courses I've played, especially on a sunny day. While the fairways are typically pretty generous, the rest of the course is very challenging - long holes, some tough bunkering, testing greens. I rarely score well here, and I'm convinced that the distances on the scorecard grossly underestimate reality. The white tees are listed at just under 5800 yards but play like 6300 or so, perhaps reflecting a number of pretty significant elevation changes. The price for the course is definitely right - surprisingly reasonable for a course of this quality (and excellent conditioning). It's a bit of a drive but well worth it.
