Pine River Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling hills dotted with mature trees. The course's namesake river weaves in and out of the holes. The course has a challenging layout that offers front and back nines that are completely different. Take advantage of the scoring opportunities on the fairly forgiving front nine because you're in for a tougher test on the back nine. The holes on the backside are more heavily treed and demand greater accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers frame the greens, making the approaches even more intimidating, and the river also comes into play. Straight shots will be rewarded at Pine River G.C. but it's not an overly punishing layout for the high handicapper. The 6,481-yard layout has a variety of different holes, giving it appeal for players of all skill levels and the manageable length makes it more approachable for beginners.

I have always liked this course. Today was bad, the rough is over 3 inches high, hit you ball into the rough and you will not find Very thick grass and clover, hard to get your club through it. Need mowing bad. Had I know it was this bad I would never played it.Lost a lot of balls

My son and i have played here a few times before. The course is quite challenging wit lots of water and creeks running throughout, The front nine is open and the back is tight and cut into the woods, My biggest gripe are the fairways, the grass is as long as the rough and there are more dandelions than actual grass. We will play again because at 13 bucks from golf now it's hard to beat even in it;s current condition.

Nice challenging course. Was disappointed by the guy the front desk. Seemed to only care about getting our money rather then us having a pleasant experience. Had a group of 20 playing a scramble tee off behind our foursome after we were two holes in. They ended up in front of us after we stopped at the clubhouse to grab a quick hotdog and something to drink. On the back nine we had a couple groups from that scramble getting mad and yelling at us accusing us of cutting in front of them and so on. And that was on top of the groups of clearly drunk girls screaming, yelling and hooting and hollering and cutting across fairways to join the other groups making it upwards of twelve people teeing off at one tee box. There weren't employees of the course out policeing the their outing at all. Which made our back nine experience terrible. I brought all this up the the same guy behind the desk and he didn't seem to care.

Found this course to be a diamond in the rough, a couple of groups of us went out for some fun and got alot more then expected. course was in good shape and well maintained with the exception of the sand traps being packed. We had to start off from the back 9 first due to sprinklers, which didn't help (fairly tight) but all an all very nice for the price.

Played this course twice while visiting family. Back nine challenges your placement ability with tighter fairways and smaller greens. Front nine is more open, but you can get into trouble easily if you get over confident. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape when I was there. This course has definitely stepped it up in the last five years to become one of the better courses in the area.

nice course with very opposite 9s. front 9 fairly long and fairley open but you can get into trouble on every hole. some water and sand with decent greens. back nine very tight but not to long nice rolling greens on both nines but just a little bit slow. great golf value this is a nice course that will challenge all your golf shots but not your wallet. very nice golf experience.
