Moose Ridge Golf Club sprawls across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees and accented with colorful wildflowers. There are more than 90 feet of elevation changes throughout the course, but there are more challenges than the hilly terrain. Well defined bunkers lurk along the greens and acres of wetlands come into play. It's easy to get distracted on this visually stunning golf course, but it's a test that requires all of your attention. The first hole is challenging but gentler than the next three holes, which is one of the toughest sequences in the area. The second and thrid are long uphill par 4s and the fourth is a narrow par 5 with a marsh-protected green. Moose Ridge Golf Club's back nine opens more gently but the respite doesn't last for long. The 15th is one of the most challenging holes, starting with a tee shot over water and followed by an approach to a narrow green.

On the positive side, a beautiful golf course. Very challenging, but for the most part, fair. On the negative side, 13 or 14 holes were cart path only. This is a very hilly course. So those of you with knee, hip or back problems should skip it. Miserable on a hot day.

I really like this course. The greens roll perfectly true. It is quite tight in places, but really rewards thinking. Very secluded feel with almost no structures around the edges. Was in great shape despite heavy rain the prior day. Carts with built-in GPS appreciated. Great course, great value, particularly in the afternoon.

Very good course. Well maintained. Some tight, some not so tight. All greens challenging. Friendly staff. The roping off of complete holes and all the "No Carts" signs need to go. That is bush league and you guys are better than that.

I liked the course but their player expectations are a little high. They want you to play fast but they rope off almost every hole so you can't drive a cart to your ball. On the 15th, for example, I hit my drive to the right side of the fairway as suggested, but then I had to walk almost 100 yards to it from the roped off cart path and had to carry three clubs with me since I had no idea which one I would need. I don't mind walking, but when all four of us need to keep walking back and forth to the carts to get clubs, it takes a while. I never understood why some courses rope off their holes. I mean, the mowers drive on them, right? This course had some roped off and some not, so not sure why. Anyway, nice course and that was my only complaint.
