Cherry Creek Golf Club winds through stands of mature oak, ash, and cherry trees. The rolling landscape is the perfect setting for a round, which has helped build the club's reputation as one of metro Detroit's premier public golf courses. Although it is a public course, the club offers the quality and amenities of a private club. The course is challenging but playable with four sets of tees that can accommodate all skill levels. The versatile layout is a popular option for tournaments and outings. In addition to the golf course, Cherry Creek's driving range and training area was ranked as the best practice facility in southeast Michigan. The facilities include a 50-station driving range with seven target greens of varying yardages, two putting greens, and three practice greens with bunkers.

- I play this course very often as it is my high schools home course, last year the greens were not well taken care of but they hired a new superintendent who takes much better care of the course. The greens are now nearly perfect. They are going through some renovations to speed up pace of play (removing some of the wetlands and trees that make the course very difficult.Top 3 course in the area in my opinion. I've never had any issues with the Rangers . They are handicap friendly for golfers that may be a bit slower like myself due to a leg amputation. some of the greens need work but allot of that is from lazy golfers on the greens that didn't fix the ball mark in the first place. It is a beautiful and challenging course. 8-10 trips I completed 18 holes in 4 1/2 hours or less. There are some busy days where it may take longer, but I've never been to a course that didn't get very busy and get backed up on occasion. So plan ahead for those sunny days when many people go out to golf.
