Links at Crystal Lake offers plenty of variety with a mix of long and short holes and left and right doglegs. It's one of the best-kept secrets among locals who would argue that it can stand up to some of the best public golf courses in the area. Water has a prominent presence on the course with wetlands and ponds coming into play throughout and several holes bordered by the beautiful Crystal Lakes. One of these holes is the par-3 14th, the course's golf signature hole that is known for its intimidating island green. The layout has very different front and back nines. The front nine is more open with drivable holes while the back is much tighter and demands accuracy. Links at Crystal Lake is a challenging enough layout for more advanced players yet still approachable for novices.

I am writing to state my disappointment with the organization of the glow golf event that the course hosted this evening. I had noticed the event on the board outside and it said to reserve a spot, i called the pro shop on Sunday June 24th at around 430pm to make a tee time for 2 people for this event. The gentleman that i spoke with stated that we were good to just show up that evening (he did not take our tee time request but made us feel as if that it would be no problem). We arrived at the course at 945pm. Very excited to play as we got a look at the course on the drive in( looked cool) we walked up and where told that the event was full and we should have shown up an hour ago and that it was first come first serve. I explauned the the gentleman what had occurres with us. He explained his situation and stated there would be another event in august. (Highly dissapointed) we left. I have a couple questions
1. If the event was 1st come 1st serve. Why did the board out front say "sign up today..... limited spaces available"?
2. why would the pro shop not be able to explain the process of this event so there would be no confusion or disappointment?
(I could understand if we were told 1st come and we were too far back in line)
3. How will the event for august be handled? 1st come first serve? Tee times available?
Thank you for taking the time to read this
