Although it plays short, the fairways are kept in outstanding condition. I have visited the course almost weekly the past 2 years and rarely has slow play hindered my game. (I will say I play mostly at twilight but always have time for at least 9 holes and the sub $10 walking rate can't be beat)

If you want some practice with your mid to short irons, this is the course to play in Lapeer County!

High greens fees and slow play drop the over all rating for this course. The landscaping is nice and the course is well groomed, but it does suffers from unrepaired ball marks on every green. Considering the fee the should consider giving free ball mark repair kits to anyone ponying up the greens fee. The back nine has 6 holes that are as well laided out as any in the state. Unfortunately the back 9 also has 2 holes that seem almost pointless in their design. The 12th and 14th bring down the grade. The clubhouse folks are friendly and knowledgable. The youth program is very good. Better deals can be had at the other area courses.
