Love the course and play often. One of the best courses in town. As far as the cry baby crying about pace of play and hacks, you can go play somewhere else. I think the course might have been alittle tuff eh?

I played here for my '14 season golf for my high school. I wasn't sure how the round would end up. I ended up shooting a great score and placed 4th. The course is all around a great course for people who are into golf and are serious about how they perform. The fairways are always in prestige condition. Always green and easy to strike the ball. The fairways are the prefect height, not hard to get out of, just difficult to strike. The greens are the best part of the course. Always kept up, no ball marks whatsoever. They are very challenging from a distance, but up close and next to the hole and you should be able to make it in. I enjoy the politeness of the staff who work there and I will for surely be back for more in the next few years.

This is a great layout - 4.75 rating

Very nice practice area - even have bunkers

    Negatives
    • Cart path design is terrible. On many holes
you have to walk 50-70 yards to get back to
your cart which leads to slow play.
    • No graphic layout of holes on card or markers
or even on website. Many blind holes. One hole
on the back, the cart path veers left but the
    dogleg goes right.
    • Played after an outing greens looked like nobody
Fixed ball make and many dragged their spikes
    • Sand traps used to be some of the best in S. Mi
Played on a Saturday there were wet and
packed. Think the extreme mutlifinger design
has made it difficult to maintain.

I would not recommend this course for first time golfers(pace of play and intimidation being two very good reasons). However for those looking for that memorable golfing experience this is the course for you. Challenges at every shot coupled with one of the most picturesque views of any course in the county, you will inevitably be booking your next tee time on your way back to the club house.

Followed league play, which made our first nine holes relatively slow. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. The fairways are beautiful yet forgiving, greens were in fantastic condition and played true. Course looked great, you wouldnt know we've been having a drought this summer just by looking at the course. Great value

I would give this course 6 stars if this site would allow it. :-) Multiple holes could be considered signature. I've played 36 holes twice, once in summer '11 and once in spring '12. Both rounds were fantastic. Sensational views, great conditioning tee to green, and very challenging. Best course AND best value for any course within an hour of metro Detroit. An absolute must play!

Challenging and beautiful layout, course is always is excellent condition, greens and fairways are generous in size, and the greens roll true. I think its the best deal in the state for the price and quality of golf. Outstanding practice facilities as well. Been playing the Grande since it opened. If there's a problem with slow play there, its generally because the wrong tees are selected. The starters have begun letting you know what set of tees is recommended for a given handicap as a guide, but too many groups want to play the Blue tees, when they should be playing the White (middle) tees. There are a quite a few holes that are incredibly difficult for a mid to high handicapper who plays from the wrong tees. If you shoot routinely 90 or higher, please play the white tees, you'll enjoy your round alot more there if you do.

This course was by far the nicest place that we played all year long in our highschool league. Plain and simple, beautiful course.

I really enjoyed this course. I played on Sunday the 22nd of August for only $45! Whn I lived in South Carolina this course would cost well over $100. The round took me 4.5 hours on a Sunday, which should be expected on a longer course (7157 from the back tees) and with some drives between holes. We even saw several deer, and turkeys. Best value in Michigan golf. Make sure to bring a foursome so you can save some money!

SLOW PLAY, SLOW PLAY, SLOW PLAY

NO RANGERS AND IT TOOK US 3 HOURS TO PLAY 9 HOLES ON THAT SHORT COURSE.

TO MANY POSERS AND BALL ADJUSTERS ON THE GREENS, ITS NOT THE PGA TOUR, ITS PUBLIC GOLF

NEVER AGAIN, WASTED 45.00 OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY IN THIS BAD ECONOMY.

This place is beautiful. Simply a great layout with lots of challenging shots. One great vista after another. The greens are true and challenging. The greens fees are even better @ $40 midweek for 18 holes with a cart, as long as you have a foursome.($45 otherwise) Definately a must play even if you're from the metro Detroit area. Worth the drive.
