- I really like the golf course - it’s a good test. However, many of the players there seem to think they are more important than the rest of us. Allowing faster players to play through is foreign to them. There is no ranger to help speed play so a lot of the older “regulars” don’t seem to care if they’re holding up play. Nice course, but it’s not much fun to play considering many of the golfers who play there.First time playing this course and I loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. From the clubhouse to the maintenance crew on the grounds. The course was in excellent shape! Elevation changes, tree lined fairways and fast greens! Nothing really flat about this course. The one negative would have to be the cart paths were rough in spots but that did not take away from the overall course experience. Had a great time from start to finish and will definitely be going back. Thanks to all involved in taking such great care of this public course.The staff welcomed me as a new golfer, and offered helpful advice on making my experience enjoyable on this well maintained course.Totally agree with previous review. Went there and was forced into playing the front nine because some old rich snob wanted to play through so he "told" on me to the owners, who took his side. The grass was very dry and the roughshod were rather long. Very overrated course. If you are in the Jackson area, do NOT waste your time golfing here.Went there and the staff was awful! I felt so out of place there being around snobs who get their way with everything so I'm looked down upon by the staff because they cater to the rich snobs over me. The course was also not kept up well since everything was dry and the grass was long. Never going back.
