The new owner has done a wonderful job making this course great. The greens are very good, the fairways well kept, and carts nice. The scenery is terrific. My husband and I had our first golf outing there and that was less than anticipated as far as the organization. The charges were messed up causing confusion to everyone. The owner for all of being a nice guy handled the 40 people outing and he got mixed up with all the people and needed more help. We will return to golf but probably not for another outing planned.

Played this course many times over the years, live near by. A great 9 hole course. BUT the new owner has put all his money in the club house, charges over priced golf rates and in terrible shape the second half of the 2015 season. Can play other local courses 18 holes for a few dollars more than they change for 9 here. Gets very little play anymore even when it is in good shape. Sad to see this course had come to this.

This Donald Ross gem is making one of the best comebacks I have ever seen out of a golf course. Not only does the course have a new owner, there's also new power carts, brand new clubhouse and facilities with finished construction by the end of this year, and a brand new fleet of mowers commanded by a new head greenskeeper.

The course is in IMMACULATE shape! All trees are in full bloom, fairways and rough are pristine, they've fixed issues previously had with greens, and the greens are some of the fastest I've seen so far this season.

In addition to all of this, there's a new tunnel they've put under the road toward Rolling Hills golf course, the neighboring course under new ownership of shadow ridge, hinting that Shadow Ridge and Rolling hills will combine in coming years to be an 18 Hole course.

The new ownership is certainly showing, this course is becoming great again with a bright future.

This is response to the two ano...idiots.

The course is making great headway !

I wonder how they would rate Detroit CC.
with the fact that two greens are unplayable.
And that's not the only one.

I think people watch too much tv. please come show me the hanging trees.

When you become a golf art. let me know !

Shadow Ridge has a lot of character. And only people with a eye for whats about them can truly appreciate a great little layout.

    You can't fix stupid !

Where do I start with this awful course? It's downright terrible, honestly. I had played it a few times before and had decent service and fair pricing. However, I recently played at the course with my boyfriend and we had an absolutely horrible experience. We were overcharged significantly. Prices at this golf course are much higher than surrounding golf courses. After finishing our round of golf, the owner explained to us that we had been overcharged. So, we met him in the clubhouse, where he then explained to us that we had not been overcharged. I believe there was some sort of scam going on here. Their website and social media websites say they have much cheaper prices than what we had to pay. I also firmly believe he was hitting on me and trying to seduce me. At one point, he winked at me and suggested that we make a deal. My boyfriend stepped in and controlled the situation. He's a real man! That's why I love him! Anyway, that's off-topic. I apologize for my behavior. I wish the owner would have apologized to us, instead he just said that he wanted our business again in the future. Which, he will not be getting. My boyfriend and I have decided to never again visit this pathetic attempt at a golf course.

Here are some other negative things about the course:

Grass is unevenly cut in most areas and not suitable for golfing.

Employees do not turn off their mowers when you are hitting the ball, that's not proper golf etiquette.

Numerous low-hanging and unattached tree limbs that are very dangerous. They could fall at any time. They need to be removed! It could seriously injure or even kill someone!

Holes are not designed very well. It's very easy to get hit by another ball.

Greens are mostly in poor condition and missing lots of grass.

    Litter all over the course.

Got overcharged by $6 at this 9 hole course. They do not upkeep the paths. They have dangerous hanging branches from trees that could hurt somebody. The guy mowing didn't respect golf etiquette, keeping the mower running while we were hitting. Overall a bad experience and should be cheaper for the quality of the course. There's no negative stars so I couldn't give it a lower rating...disappointed
