Colonial Golf Course is one of western Michigan's most popular courses. There is a total of 27 holes available, consisting of the championship 18-hole course and the nine-hole, par-3 Heritage Course. The 18-hole course is 6,859 yards from the back tees. The holes are mostly straightforward but beware of some tricky doglegs. The golf course begins with a particularly tricky one. There is a mix of short and long holes, offering plenty of variety throughout. You may find that you have to use all the clubs in your bag. Strategically placed bunkers fiercely guard the greens, demanding accurate shot placement and careful course management. The other course at Colonial, the Heritage Course, is a great option for beginners and juniors. Besides the two courses, there is also a 12-acre driving range available.

- Nice find.... course was in great shape... look it is not County Club... fairways are not super tight... other then that I personally really liked the course... played from the tips and It gave me all the challenge I could ask for. VERY nice greens.. Only complaint was the very crappy golf carts:(( Would highly recommend playing...not destination track but very fun and nice...The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and well cared for. Lots of variety and several blind shots. Nothing to complain about. Only thing missing is GPS in carts. If this course was anywhere near a major city it would cost twice as much to play.Over priced and under challenged. Hard to get an early morning starting time, did not open until after 8 in mid summer. Greens were slow certainly not the best in the area by far. Played two other courses in same county with better greens and better rates.We played this course in July of 2012 and found it to be great. The whole course was in great shape; the greens well cared for and fast. Staff is gracious and friendly. We enjoyed it a lot.One of the best kept secrets on the west side of Michigan; greens are immaculate and challenging. Course is well maintained. Friendly and welcoming. Great price point for the value of the course. Love playing it!This golf course is the best course in West Michigan area. You will not find better greens anywhere in this area. The 4 different tee boxes give all abilities a challenge. It also has a very challenging par three course along with it's championship 18 hol;e course.Challenging golf course. Very well maintained. Greens had excessive winter damage -some partially washed out-general overall maintenace was poor. Very few items in Pro shop what was there was over priced.New restaurant open for buisiness but paint smell was so bad they had all the doors open.Cart ball washer no fluid.
