Solid Public Course
Doesn’t appear much remains of the original 9 hole course built in the 20s when the new 9 was added by Jeff Gorney.and original holes redone. Course is on flat terrain and very walkable.
I would not go out of your way to play, but a solid public course for the area.
Cool little course
Grayling CC is affordable, walkable, and fun, so it's tough to say much bad about it. It could use a little tree work and some green expansion, but it's still enjoyable. There are a lot of holes that really force you to work the ball to put yourself in a good position. One of the par fives on the back forces a strange layup with a tree in the middle of the fairway. It's quirky and serves a wide variety of players. I'm glad I checked it out.
Thumbs up to Grayling CC
The course is worth playing if your in the area. $34 for a Sunday morning round is extremely cheap for northern Michigan. The staff was friendly, and the food was great.(try the best burger in town!)
The course itself is fairly flat, and varies from wide open holes, to heavily wooded holes, and to holes with water hazards. The 17th is right next to the Ausable river. For the price, I'd play it again
