My son was visiting me and we decided to go to Lakeside to play 9 holes of golf. I should never have played there as they charged us $26. each and this is outrageous, .I should have walked out, as many other people were doing. It was on July 5th, a Saturday. I don't know if it is more on a holiday weekend, but they do not advertise an increase for this weekend.
I play at many quality courses for $20 per 18 holes, in fact Sugar Springs, near this, charges $29. for Saturdays, and this is a very highly thought of course. I will never play here again, in fact, I will tell everyone I know what a rip off it is. I will also call them and let them know my feelings.

Decent course, never very busy, greens always seem to be in good shape. Pretty fair layout, good mix of holes for a 9 hole course, a few tight holes. Great course to take the wife and kids to (and I can still have fun and be challenged). Can't beat the proximity as our cottage is on Secord Lake. Last time we played, thought the price was a bit steep for 9 with a cart, but it was a weekend. And when up north, I don't usually get too worked out over a couple bucks. If you're looking to play a quick nine and avoid the crowds, this is a good place.

We frequent this course alot and have been very happy with it until the General Manager showed up. She couldn't have been more rude and disrespectful!!! She even asked for our punch card as if we had too many golfers than what we paid for apparently not realizing that we are successful business people and respected members of the community down state. I do know this, if this course ever goes up for sale we'd be an interested buyer and if we ever owned it this general manager would be fired immediately. All the other employees are great and the course is great but stay away from this you know what.
