Good vaule for the money
I was with 3 beginners and I'm handicapped so it was hard enough for us. The views were good from some holes. Pace was good until we caught up with a group of 5. For last three. But after we saw them at the end it was all good
They were teaching daughter on her first outing. They were nice and felt like we shared a family event. We weren't much better. But pride ourselves on not delaying if anyone behind. Best Ball ready golf pick up 8 etcetera.
Old School 9 holer well worth a play or two
Take the Ironton Ferry (holds 4 cars, 3 bucks a car) to get to the course if you're coming from the south or Charleviox. A few miles east of the ferry you'll find a family owned barely touched 20's design nine and a quaint throwback old school clubhouse with slanted floors. A really nice surprise. The experience is worth more than an emergency nine. Early on a nice Friday summer morning I had the course almost to myself. Surprise views of Lake Charlevoix and a highlight was a fantastic punch bowl eighth green. In really decent shape - drawback is the course fairways are so bumpy you have to drive your motorcart really slowly to save your back. Solid 4 star experience but then I'm a sucker for these old schoolers. Spend a morning or late afternoon...you won't be disappointed.
Cool Old Nine-Hole Course
I was pleasantly surprised by this little nine-hole. It has great views, lots of elevation change, and a cool layout. It's a great spot for an emergency nine or a quick round on your way around the area. I will be back!
