Highland Hills Golf Club in Dewitt is a player-friendly course that offers two distinct nines. Opened in 1963, the course has a traditional links-style front nine and a hilly and wooded back nine. The layout is a manageable 6,600 yards. The front nine is wide-open and more player-friendly and the back nine is where the golf course gets challenging. Golfers will face subtle but tricky elevation changes, fairways tightly lined with mature trees, and strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. There are also a few water hazards that come into play. The golf course requires a fair amount of accuracy but overall, it has appeal for both low and high handicappers. In addition to the course, Highland Hills G.C. also has a full length driving range and practice putting green for golfers to use.

I was very happy with my experience at Highland Hills. It was not too expensive, but the course was nice and so were the people.

I especially appreciated when one employee took the time to go back on an ATV when I lost my putter near the 17 green right before dark.

The kids they hire to work at the course need to be banned from playing when customers are around! The 3 guys that were playing behind us tonight were the worst... They almost hit us with their ball- TWICE!
The first time when we were taking our approach shots on the 2nd hole.
Then as we were waiting to tee off on the 5th hole they made some completely obnoxious & rude comments... The owner came out to reprimand them but they weren't deterred...
We were waiting (again) to tee off on the 6th hole when they almost hit us again with their ball!
I've played a lot of courses that were busy, but their behavior was out of line and completely dangerous.

Next time I'll go to Prairie Creek down the road.

The course is always in good shape and the staff is great.
It is affordable and is friendly to most golfers it is a good challenge. If you get out of position on your tee shots, par is hard to get.
The greens are in great shape this year and can be 3 putted if you do not look your putts over. Have Fun.
