Back Nine at Briarwood Golf Club

OK I remember playing here such a long time ago that I actually keep a golf diary that started in 1993 so it’s a 30 year old diary and I looked it up and I played here May 8 and May 22 both Saturdays and the year of our lord 1993 so it’s been 30 years since I played her can you believe it? Well, my buddy was off from work and I’m retired so he said let’s go I just want some money and we hit it on a Saturday excuse me a Monday morning which was a senior day at $26 each and he paid so the price was right for me of course And I did remember a very nice layout and that held true. Holes one through nine were through the woods and actually the back nine had some woods also but the conditions of this course for just absolutely horrible. I can’t believe it in this area and you have Saskatoon which is their main competitor I believe and I’ve played that couple times in the last couple years, which is an absolutely great shape, but the condition of this course is just terrible. It’s too bad them it’s a beautiful clubhouse and a Course has been here for 60 years built in 1963 but there’s just no money put back into it. I know they on the Broadmoor in Course a few miles back towards the airport and I will not play there and I had never have based on the condition. This course has the same ownership. I assume it’s just a bad condition , if somebody pays 40 or 50 bucks to play here the crazy because you got Thornapple pointe you’ve got Quail Ridge Saskatoon, and many many others so unfortunately I don’t think I will ever play here again. It’s just was a nostalgic day here we played in less than three hours And they’re all nice big homes around here and someday this will all be sold off for its location so close to the airport and all the industry of Kentwood I’ll put some pictures in here if they will load up but unfortunately nobody took the time to make a review of this place after 60 years I don’t know why but yeah it’s it’s kind of going down the tubes too bad because like I said the layout was very nice. I guess I would play at once if you can capture a good price but I never see them on tee off or golf now I’m surprised it’s listed here and I’m the first one to make a review after 60 years crazy
