- Very rude people that work pro shop and turn grill.We have found this to be one of the best courses we play in Northern , mi. My wife scored her first ever hole in one on number nine. A memorable event to be sure.Played 54 holes here one day. Great staff. Great food. Top tier golf experience. Eat at the Dam Site Inn following your round and have the fish or chicken.Outstanding layout for a demanding golfer. Course rewards good golf shots.

An enjoyable golf course for the beginner and the low single digit player.I don't know whats not to like about this course. Course was in excellent condition.HR is a very nice course but I must admit I was a little disappointed. The course is in great shape and very playable but does lack in some of the asthetics other northern courses has to offer. Not saying it isnt beautiful but lacks the WOW!! factor some other courses have.I have played htis course many times over the last 15 years and this course goes down as one my very favorite upnorth wooded courses. Just the right amount of water, sand and even an occational waste bunker to hit out of. you will not find a better kept course in the area.Hidden gemThis is a hidden jewel that if you love a well maintained challenging course at a great value put this on your must play list. I live in Hilton Head SC but when I visit family in Michigan I plan a few days around great golf in America and this course will not disapoint. The staff is always friendly and make sure you save room for dinner as the resturant was fantastic.
