Although Huntmore Golf Club is within 10 minutes drive of four other upscale championship courses, it manages to stand out with a scenic and formidable challenge. The golf course covers a diverse landscape, wandering through natural wetlands, hardwood forests, and across grassy open meadows. Water is a prominent feature throughout with at least a patch of marshland on almost every hole. Ribbons of fescue and native grasses border the generous fairways. There are also waste areas and large bunkers lurking alongside the lightning-fast greens. It is important to warm up before tackling the golf course since it opens with two difficult holes. The first hole is a challenging dogleg right that is impossible to cut. After that challenge, there is a par 4 with trees and bunkers that requires a carry past a narrow strip of marshland on the approach.

- Update website once in awhie, and get a real clubhouse. Where is Ron and John. People running this place now are on a super ego trip and starter is obnoxious. We played because it use to have a cheers type atmosphere now it is just a hole in the wall course. We are done to many good choicesGreat course and awesome price. The guys in the club house are great. Ron isn't there anymore so calm down.Who do these people think they are? We enjoyed ourselves in the past but this year is horrible with the new management. This Rob guy has the personality of door matt. The others not including Ron and John and the girls were great to be around really made you feel they cared. What a dissapoointmentcourse is ok but new management is horrilbe. They obviouly think they are better than everyone else. I have played the course for years because of the way we were treated by the manager Ron. I doubt I will go back they knew how to treat people. The starter Ron is the rude one. I think the other customer got his Ron`s confused.Course is in great shape. Drainage issues have improved significantly recently with new drains and the greens are in great shape. Very firm and pretty quick. Course is challenging but has tees for every skill level.Aside from the manager (Ron) being an absloute **** the course is ok. Does not drain well, standing water in fairways even days after a rain. They ruined the course by trying to make it easier. Greens are never the same, somtimes hard as rock other times way too soft and slow. Worth about $15 to me unless Ron is there and then Id rather go someplace else.I had been wanting to play this course for the last 3 years, finally played on 11-13-10, course was a big disappointment, tee boxes were in horrible shape,no on course restrooms for the women, to the gentleman running the pro shop, sorry we had to interupt you during the Michigan game at check in time, glad i didnt spend more than 16 dollars to play, will not go back!Very well kept course. Very fair to all handicaps. Greens are fast, and very big. Nice driving range and putting green. Scenery is second to none. Looks like an upper Michigan course. We enjoyed playing it very much. Join their e-club, and its free and you will save a few $$$$
