A definite stop if you are in the area with generous fairways and large greens. Pretty much always in good shape and it’s a fun play that is well laid out.

While the greens have gotten better they are still a bit on the slow side. For the most part the greens are straight up but the pin placements haven’t been great this year with a few being head scratchers. One location was within 2-3 feet of the fringe?? There are a handful of greens that are challenging to read but it takes time to learn the tendencies. Play can be a little slow from time to time with no ranger but is easily rectified with a call to the clubhouse.

A tee time is suggested in season especially with more than one group as this is a favorite in the area. Overall I love to play it but the recent cost increase is absurd and approaching Crystal Mountain $’s which alters their tee time to attract play when tee times are available. Recently I made the short drive to the mountain for a $43 play with cart while Pinecroft was still at $63.
