I love this course. It’s great to learn how to play the game of golf. No one is ever rushing you along. Course has made major improvements in the last few years.

We could see where they had made improvements to the course and know there are plans to further improve it. The staff (Denise) was very friendly and encouraged us to come back. We love the old nine hole courses and hope it gets the support it deserves. I have a golf pencil collection from all the courses I have played and I am putting Custer Greens next to the USAF Academy course, Eisenhower Golf Course.

I love this course! It is great to help support the VA for what they do for our veterans. Decent upkeep and good prices!

This is where I learned to play Golf as an inpatient at the VA. It's not the perfect manicured course, the staff struggles with equipment and $ to get the basics done. It is a pretty little course, nice views and 3 fun par 3's. It's an easy course to play, not a lot of out of bounds and no water unless you overshoot the ninth green by 20 yds.
The beauty of this course lies in what is not seen. This course has helped many struggling Vets. I have personally got a lot of healing from playing this course. It's home to the PTSD program, the Substance Abuse Program, the Homeless Vets Program and many others. For that I give it a 5 star rating.
Playing at this course supports the Veterans and keeps it open for future Veterans. It's about the best $13 you can spend when you put it in perspective. Inpatient Veterans are given 5 free rounds per week, so, your $13 helps keep it free for those who fought to keep us FREE!
