Like many others on these reviews I have played a number of highly rated courses. Arcadia Bluffs is so unique in its setting and unmatched beauty I cannot remember a more indelible experience. We played on a beautiful day in July, the lake was crystal blue forever, almost every hole was a stand-on-the-tee and say WOW this is amazing. I will remember this for a loooong time. Most impressive, while sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn with a glass of wine at sunset, a man came by dressed in a suit/shirt/tie. It was the owner Richard Postma checking out his operation and asking guests how they liked it. This is 8:30 on a Friday evening. Everyone else is relaxing, he is still working, and he could not have been nicer. Thanks to him, Charles Schwab, Mike Keiser, Johnny Morris and so many others who have invested huge $ in this wonderful game we all love.

Last year we golf we played eighteen holes during the hottest months of summer.
Can anyone tell me where this course is pulling it's water from 's was from. It seems like a waste of a natural resource. Been so close to Lake Michigan it would be a shame if their wells dry up. There is only so much water in the ground. please don't waste a precious resource to keep the greens lush. .

Like everyone has said, you have to love Arcadia Bluffs. The look of the course is fabulous, the views gorgeous, the challenges very real, the speedy greens a blast. And if you're an old fart like me and qualify as a senior, half-price senior Tuesdays are a bargain. Not to diminish these positives, the following needs to be said as well. This is a golfer's golf course. High handicappers are likely to find it pretty frustrating. Our golf group plays the course annually but we're losing a couple of the older guys who simply can't hit it long and accurately enough. That's not to take away from a truly great course; just to offer some perspective.

This is my favorite course from the perspective of just the views. (played 18 of top 100 courses in America but not Pebble//Cypress/Augusta/Bandon/Pine Valley). One major flaw as one or two people mentioned is one particular ranger that hopefully has been fired by now. He's an absolute ass that sits up by the outside grill area (7 teebox?). 50% of the people that I talk to complain about the exact same guy. I've played it 3 times. Everyone else at the place is fantastic. The place is a must for avid golf enthusiasts.

Played Pebble, Cypress Point, and Spyglass Hill about 3 weeks after Arcadia, and they probably weren't the equal of this course, especially the greens.

I have played almost all of the top 10 public courses in the country and not many compare to this gem. Great views and fun golf lead to an experience of a life time. If you have not been there, what are you waiting for?

I've been to St. Andrews Old Course, played Whistling Straits - Straits (WI), Chambers Bay (WA), TPC, Forest Dunes, Eagle Eye, The Bull at Pinehurst Farms and a number of other amazing courses. There is nothing that compares to this... it's something special. It's the most enjoyable golf I've ever played. Looking forward to heading back this summer for round 2.

Played on 16 August 2011. Absoutely amazing course! Both beautiful and a fair test of golf. Better hit it in the fairways as the rough is almost unplayable. Not easy to get to, but worth the travel time.

All I can say is take a camera, Wow! I have played in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii (3 islands), Aruba, Mexico and many other places throughout the U.S. and this place is really tough to beat. Finished at sunset at 9:30pm!, and this was as good if not better than being on the ocean. Great day! Minus 1/2 star for waiting on every shot, which actually gave you a few seconds to take a picture or 2 or 3 or 4. Course in immaculate condition.

I've played Troon North- AZ, Beth Paige Black -NY, Falcon's Fire -Fl,Harbour Town -SC, as well as some other great courses in michigan and throughout the nation. For me Arcadia is most beautiful course I've ever seen, and it's a fair test of golf for players at any level. If you love golf this one is a must play.

The golf course is outstanding. I would say it is a must play for anyone looking for incredible views of Lake Michigan. The only problem is the staff at the course. We played on a very slow day in early June, no one was around our foursome, so we were taking in the views. The ranger tells us we need to speed up our play. There was no other groups around us. The staff took a great experience and ruined it.

I've played in several states while serving in the military and played numerous top 100 courses throughout the country. I have no doubt that Arcadia should be in the top 5 of Americas best courses based on it's condition, asthetics, clubhouse amenities and choice of tee selection to make it a true challenge for all golf levels. If not for the logistics challege this would be a true U.S. Open venue.
Lastly, this is a must play on any golfers list and my hats off to the entire staff for your outstanding work.

I've played the best courses in Ireland and many here in the U.S. including Whistling Straits, Franklin Hills and Crystal Downs and I believe Arcadia Bluffs to be the best course in terms of layout, scenery, condition and value. For the full price of $180.00 one can play a World class course. If one is lucky enough to play Arcadia on a fairly calm day, the experience can't be beat. The only detail that may be lacking is the availability to take a caddie. Although this course would be hard to walk, golfing with a caddie, in my opinion, always enhances the experience.
