Unfortunately, weather isnt always perfect on the golf course just ask some friends on the east, who keep their clubs in storage for the winter months. The folks at the Haas-Jordan Company know a thing or two about helping golfers with bad weather. Haas-Jordan Company specializes in umbrellas to be used the golf course. In fact, they have been the leader this rain protection device since 1940. Our role is to continue to try to develop an umbrella that provides the highest possible protection from rain and shine, said Hass-Jordan Company owner David Waltz, whose grandfather started the company before the second World War. Waltz says that his company helped invent the first umbrella to be used on the golf course. According to Waltz, his grandfather hired golf legend Bryon Russell in 1940 and with Russells help the duo eventually created the umbrella. We are No. 1 in the golf business for our industry, Waltz said. Fast forward to 1999. The current Haas-Jordan catalog features every kind of umbrella imaginable. The designs seem limitless as the consumer can choose between certain handles rubber or wooden - and style on top of the cover. They have your simple designs in addition to professional football team designs or the logo of the 1999 Ryder Cup. The companys top umbrella is the 6072 Ultra Classic 72 which basically is a six-foot long umbrella, enough to protect an entire foursome on the course. This umbrella comes complete with fiberglass frame and shaft in addition to a nylon shealth and foam handle. One of the companys newer products is the ProSham a towel that goes on a golfers belt that can be used to dry the club handle. The catalog describes this feature as: ProSham is a revolutionary, new golf towel that gives your clubs the new grip feeling every time you wipe them. ProSham is used damp like an auto chamois making it the perfect choixe to keep hands and grips dry on hot or rainy days. Can the manufacturing world get any more advanced? |
