Quality Products at
Reduced Prices

LAS VEGAS – This past week’s 1999 PGA International Golf Show had a little something for everybody.

Not only was this an opportunity for the “big fish” companies of the golf industry to flex it muscles, it also provided some of the smaller players a chance to promote their product.

Enter the Chicago based Delta Golf.

A recap from the PGA International Golf Show

This golf club manufacturing company prides itself in providing top-quality clubs at a reduced – the type of clubs you might find at a Wal-Mart type store.

Delta Golf, whose booth at the convention saw very little foot traffic, went to the three-day event held at the Las Vegas Convention Center with hopes of finding contacts.

“We are here because this is the No. 1 golf show in the business,” company representative at the show Joseph Morisco said. “We are going to meet a few customers at the show and we have the booth set up to show them what we offer.”

Delta Golf’s 2000 catalog promotes cutting edge technology, sharp designs, top quality products and lifetime warranties.

The company has several different clubs for golfers of all ages and skill level. Their top set is called the X2400, which according to the catalog is “an innovative new design which features a distinctive 4-way, step cavity. This cavity, combined with a short hosel, balances the weight distribution to improve perimeter weighting for increased accuracy and enhanced feel.”

Delta Golf’s other top club product is the D.G. Tour – more of an iron specialized set. The catalog refers to this line as “progressive irons”, with a “thin top line, cambered grind sole and classic blade designed which are preferred by better players.”

The bottom line is that Morisco and his company feel good about the product they offer the golfing community.

“We have low prices for high quality clubs,” Morisco said. “The stores we sell to like to have our product in them.”

In addition to offering 20 lines of golf clubs, Delta Golf also carries items like the Shot Control Chipper - designed for accuracy – and the Right on Hollow Back Driving Iron, another club which focuses on keeping the ball straight on the fairway.

Delta Golf also stocks a variety of junior golf club sets, putters and plenty of accessories, ranging from umbrellas to cover heads.

“We feel like we have found our niche in the low end market,” Morisco said. “We stay away from the direct market as our top competition.”
